Abstract

The background to the problem of the insurance contract must be explained properly to the prospective insured, how the rights and obligations of the insured relate to the contract, what are the consequences if the insured violates the provisions in the policy. In order to understand the policy or contract, it is necessary to understand the coverage agreement of the insurance policy itself. Failure to pay premiums or non-compliance with these provisions means neglecting obligations and can cause the policy or contract to be invalid if the insurance company notifies the cancellation. The purpose of this study is to determine the legal consequences for the insured for late payment of health insurance premiums at Axa Mandiri Insurance and to find out the settlement of late payment of health insurance premiums at Axa Mandiri Insurance. The research to be used in this paper is empirical legal research. The research was conducted by going down to the location of the insurance company PT Axa Mandiri Insurance Pekanbaru Branch and meeting directly with users of insurance services. Researchers used primary legal materials. Data collection in the field was carried out by researchers by way of interviews. Secondary legal materials are obtained from library books, laws and regulations, internet browsing, and other documents. Based on the results of the study that the Legal Consequences of the Insured Experiencing Late Payment of Premiums According to Axa Mandiri Insurance Pekanbaru Insurance.
