Abstract
The problem of delays and damage to the delivery of goods that is blamed is not only the responsibility of PT. TIKI JNE cannot be separated from making mistakes either before or after the goods are transported by the carrier. Therefore, it is important to know how the responsibilities of PT. TIKI JNE in being responsible and providing legal certainty for people who use goods delivery services through PT. TIKI JNE, so that consumers know their rights as consumers who have paid and entrusted the goods they wish to send via shipping services through PT. TIKI JNE. Based on the background of the problem described above, the author first determines what is the responsibility of PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch for Goods and Documents that are Damaged or Lost in the Delivery Transport Process and what is the Accountability that has been given by PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch for Goods and Documents Damaged or Lost in the Delivery Transportation Process. This writing, when viewed from the type of research, can be grouped into sociological legal research which is carried out by means of surveys, namely research directly to research locations using data collection tools in the form of interviews and questionnaires. Meanwhile, if seen from its nature, this writing is analytical descriptive, which means that the research is intended to provide a detailed, clear and systematic description of the main research issues. The responsibility of PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru branch for goods and documents that are damaged or lost in the process of transporting the shipment that the responsibility for this risk is carried out in the form of a replacement in the form of a maximum replacement of 10 (ten) times the cost of shipping, but if the goods to be sent are in the category of high value , compensation for goods lost is paid in full according to the nominal amount of the goods stated in the insurance policy or compensation is paid for the same goods if the goods transported are damaged, and forwarding delivery of goods that are late arriving at the destination location. The responsibility that has been given by PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch for Damaged or Lost Goods and Documents in the Shipping Transportation Process is that PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch has made compensation 10 (ten) times the cost of shipping, but the public as consumers of PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch as much as 90% did not receive compensation provided by PT Tiki JNE Pekanbaru Branch for damage or loss of goods during the shipping and transportation process.
