Abstract

Parking is a problem that is often encountered in terms of transportation, especially in the cause of congestion which is rampant in many big cities that are developing, as well as the city of Pekanbaru. Providing solutions regarding motorcycle parking services in the city park area that are effective in utilizing the spatial layout of the parking area in the Pekanbaru city park area. Knowing the characteristics of motorbike parking in the Pekanbaru city park. This research is located in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is a quantitative method, namely by measure all data so that new data is found, important, and has value. This study uses primary data consisting of questionnaire data and interview results, then tests the validity of the questionnaire. The validity test is obtained by using SPSS. Based on the results of validity testing r_(table) with a significance level of 0.05 or 5% is 0.158. While the value of r_(count) in this validity test is the Pearson Correlation between the statement items and the total variable score. Then it can be seen that the value of r_(count)> 0.158 (r_(table)). The results obtained in the descriptive statistical analysis of the questionnaire are to provide a good picture of how knowledge about parking services is, remembering and considering that until now there are still many people who are reluctant to park in the space provided. And the results of the interview analysis were also carried out to obtain the results. Overall, the level of suitability for both parking locations, both the natural green open space area and the green open space for glass mayang, is still low. It is hoped that the service of parking attendants at Putri Kaca Mayang City Park should be improved, while parking attendants who are still considered lacking in terms of serving parking users should be given a warning so they can serve well.
