Abstract
Concrete is one of the main ingredients that is often used and relied upon in the manufacture of construction, because concrete has certain properties and characters that vary according to changes in the mixture of its constituent materials such as water, Portland cement, coarse and fine aggregates and additives if needed. In construction work that uses concrete as a construction material, several problems will be encountered, such as the appearance of fiber cracks in the concrete. This if left for a long time will damage the concrete itself. To handle this problem, it is necessary to carry out a special method or action so that the impact of this fiber cracking is not getting bigger. The self-healing Concrete method is one of the solutions to overcome the problem of cracks that appear in concrete. This study uses the method of calculating the concrete mix (mix design) based on SNI 7656:2012. This study used a cylindrical sample of 15 samples. This method is done by adding urease bacteria. The percentage of bacteria is 10% of the volume of semen. From the results of the study, the effect of using Urease Bacteria on the compressive strength of concrete using the Self Healing Concrete method for compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days with normal concrete with an average of 20.78 Mpa, For compressive strength of concrete + Urease Bacteria has decreased in quality with an average of 13.18 MPa, and for compressive strength of concrete + Urease Bacteria after cracking has increased with an average of 21.06 MPa. Effect of the use of Urease Bacteria on split tensile strength of concrete using the Self Healing Concrete method for split tensile strength of concrete aged 28 days with normal concrete with an average of 0.25 MPa, for split tensile strength of concrete + Urease Bacteria decreased with an average of 0.19 MPa.
