Abstract
Pekanbaru is a city that has a population growth that continues to increase from year to year. The increase in population in cities is of course linearly related to movement patterns and an increase in the number of motorized vehicles. If this is not accompanied by the provision of adequate transportation support facilities and infrastructure, of course, traffic problems such as congestion will arise. Congestion is a problem faced by almost all urban areas in Indonesia. One solution to overcome the problem of congestion at intersections is by planning signalized intersections. The purpose of this study is comparing the performance of Marpoyan Signalized Intersection Pasir Putih street-Kaharuddin Nasution Street-Kita Alley between 4-phase and 3-phase setting. This study uses the concept of a microscopic approach with PTV VISSIM software to compare the performance of the existing signalized intersection with 4-phase settings with scenario conditions with 3-phase settings. The results of modeling the Marpoyan Signalized Intersection Pasir Putih street-Kaharuddin Nasution Street-Kita Alley. On weekend and weekdays we collect vehicle volume data at peak hours and calibrate 10 types of calibrations and each run is carried out 10 times with 10 random seeds and validation stages are carried out so that the data can be categorized as valid using the GEH and MAPE methods. Based on the results of running the PTV VISSIM software program, it was found that the modeling performance of the Marpoyan Intersection with Signals Pasir Putih street-Kaharuddin Nasution Street-Kita Alley, in the existing condition of the 4-phase arrangement, obtained a maximum queue length of 188.98m on weekend and 224m m on weekdays and a delay of 41.7 seconds on weekend and 56 seconds on weekdays with service level C on holidays and D on weekend. When scenariod with 3 phase settings, the maximum queue length is 60.6 m on holidays and 76.1 m on weekdays and a delay of 12 seconds on holidays and 24.6 m on weekdays with service level B on weekend and C on weekdays.
