Abstract

The building structure of the Integrated Lecture Building 1 of the Bengkalis State Polytechnic is a reinforced concrete building built in 2020. However, in its planning, the building still uses SNI earthquake regulations 1726-2002. Meanwhile, at that time, the latest earthquake regulations had been established, namely SNI 1726-2019. Departing from this case, this study aims to make a comparison between the two procedures in terms of changes in seismic base shear forces, internal forces and stresses that occur in beam and column elements and the load received by the foundation. The data collection method uses secondary data in the form of structural plan drawings and soil investigation data. Analysis of seismic base shear forces was calculated using spectral response dynamical methods and equivalent statics. Then the seismic load is inputted into the pre-modeled structure. The structure is modeled in the form of finite elements to obtain the internal forces and stresses that occur. The results of the dynamic analysis of spectrum response showed an increase in base shear (Vt) by 130% from 622.699 kN (direction X) and 613.952 kN (direction Y) in SNI 1726-2002 to 1433.594 kN (direction X) and 1414.118 kN (direction Y) in SNI 1726-2019. Similarly, the results of the SNI 2019 equivalent static analysis also resulted in an increase in base shear by 130% greater than the results of SNI 2002, namely from 742.487 kN to 1712.751 kN (X and Y directions). The increase causes the internal force on the beam to increase by 4-7% while the column increases by 4-170%. Checking the stress showed that the shear and compressive stress of the concrete on the beam was greater than the clearance stress caused by both the 2002 and 2019 earthquakes. Meanwhile, the column due to the 2019 earthquake caused the compressive stress of concrete under some conditions of internal force greater than the clearance voltage. Then in the foundation analysis, all loads received by piles due to the 2002 and 2019 earthquakes did not exceed the carrying capacity of the pile permit.
