Abstract
Pekanbaru-Dumai (Permai) toll road has a vital function as the busiesttollroad for access in Riau Province,with busy toll road activies it is suspected thattraffic accident often occur with various kinds of accident characteristics on theroad. The purpose of study is to analyze the level of traffic accident, Accident Ratefigures for Blackspot and Blacksite, as well as the condition of road equipment onthe Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road. This study uses a qualitative descriptivemethod and collects data usingprimary data, which is obtained from field observations and secondary data, namelyaccident report for three years (2020-2022) obtained from the Riau Regional policeTraffic Direktorat and average daily traffic volume data from BPJT. Calculationsuse the Accident rateformula for Blackspot and Blacksite to determine the ofaccident and traffict prone areas on the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road. The results of the analysis show that there were 30 incidents for three years,the highest Accident Rate for Blackspot was 0,10 at Km 34 and Km 35 and thehighest forblacksite was 0,10 at Km 35. The most frequent incidents occurred atnight until early morning at 18.01 until 02.00 in the morning. The type of vehicleinvolved was a passenger car with 16 single collisions. There were 28 victims,namely 7 people died, 9 people were seriously injured and 12 people were slightlyinjured. The direction of travel is based on events, namely line A (Pekanbaru toDumai) with 11 incidents and line B (Dumai to Pekanbaru) with 19 incidents. Thefactor causing the accident is the human factor due to negligence or carelessness.The results of researchers observation the condition of road equitment and trafficmanagement on the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road for traffic accidents are by addingnoise ribbons in accordance with minister of transportation regulation number 82of 2018 article 33 and adding overall street lighting, because it is based on ministerof works regulation general republic of indonesia number 16/PRT/M/2014concerning minimum service standars.
