Abstract
Road damage that occurs in various regions today is a very complex problem. The damage results in losses, such as longer travel time, congestion, traffic accidents, and others. research on comparing road damage condition assessments based on the IRI method and the Bina Marga Method. This research is expected to provide information about the condition of Bagansiapiapi – Sinaboi Road In addition to being able to find out the type of handling road damage. Based on the background of the problem, a formulation of the problem was taken how to compare the value of road conditions based on the IRI Method and the Bina Marga Method on the Bagansiapiapi - Sinaboi STA 0+000 to STA 2+100 road sections and how the type of road damage handling on the Bagansiapiapi - Sinaboi STA 0+000 to STA 2+100 road sections was taken. In this study, the author used research methods, namely the IRI (International Roughness Index) method and the Bina Marga Method. Assessment of road pavement conditions data obtained from the survey visually with conducting measurement surveys in the field using the Bina Marga method, while the IRI (International Roughness Index) value is obtained from the General Workers Service Riau Province. Bagansiapiapi – Sinaboi STA 0+000 to STA 2+100 road section has an average IRI condition value of 5.37 and an average Bina Marga condition value of 8. The percentage of good condition values for the IRI method was 19.05 %, moderate conditions were 66.67 % and mild damaged conditions were 4.29 %. As for the Bina Marga method, it is good at 90.5 % and lightly damaged at 9.5 %. Road condition order of precedence (UP) values Bagansiapiapi - Sinaboi average value of Bina Marga (UP) method of 8, the action taken on the Bagansiapiapi - Sinaboi road section based on the results of the >7 order of priority (UP) is a routine maintenance program. The average IRI score was 5.37, the average value of ? 4.0 required the need for routine maintenance.
