Abstract

The DPRD is an extension of the community to convey their aspirations to the government. If the functions and duties of the Regional Representative Council are not running well then of course all of this must be evaluated as quickly as possible so that the people of Anambas Islands Regency can also progress and develop. Problem Formulation How to Implement the Role of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the 2019-2024 Period and What is the Role of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the 2019-2024 Period in the Duties and Functions of Forming Regency/City Regional Regulations According to Law Number 23 of 2014 in the Islands Regency Anambas. The research that the author will carry out will be carried out using observational research methods and the nature of this research is analytical descriptive The results of this research are the implementation of the duties and functions of the Anambas Islands Regency DPRD based on the provisions of Law Number 23 of 2014 as stated in article 148 concerning functions and article 154 concerning duties and authority which have been carried out as mandated in the law, however Sometimes there are still several obstacles encountered in its implementation, such as a lack of support for facilities and infrastructure owned by the Anambas Islands Regency, which requires the Anambas Islands Regency DPRD to carry out its duties more optimally. The role of the Anasmbas Islands Regency DPRD in drafting the formation of regional regulations (Perda) is very good and should be appreciated, however the making of Regional Regulations must be carried out in a participatory manner. The Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) has a very important role and function in the process of forming participatory Regional Regulations (Perda), including Leading the Legislative Process, setting the Agenda and Priorities, Encouraging Public Participation, Opening Transparency and Accountability, Coordinating with the Executive and Other Stakeholders , Supervise discussions at the Commission Level, Facilitate Conflict Resolution and Consensus, Advocate for Public Interests and Socialize the Results of Discussions. The Anambas Islands Regency DPRD also carries out scientific tests on regional regulations with the hope that these regulations will be useful and useful for all groups in the Anambas Islands Regency.
