Abstract
This study is entitled “The Effect of Banana Stem POC and Organic NPK on the Growth of Cocoa Seedlings (Theobroma cacao L.)” This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, the research was carried out for 3 months from June to August 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of the Effect of Banana Stem POC and Organic NPK on the Growth of Cocoa Seedlings. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Banana Stem POC which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely no treatment, 40, 80, and 120 ml/polybag. And the second factor is organic NPK consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely without treatment, 4, 8 and 12 g/polybag, so that there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there are 48 experimental units. The parameters observed are plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, widest leaf area and root volume. Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the interaction of banana corm POC had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, widest leaf area and root volume. The best treatment was at a concentration of 120 ml/water banana corm POC and 12 g/polybag organic NPK. The main effect of banana corm POC was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at 120 ml/water banana corm POC. The main effect of organic NPK was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at 120 ml/water banana corm POC. The main effect of organic NPK was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at 12 g/polybag organic NPK.
