Abstract
Research entitled the effect of atonic ZPT and shallot extract on the shoot grafting of avocado plants (Persia americana). The research aims to determine the interaction effect and main factors of atonic ZPT and shallot extract on the shoot grafting of avocado plants. The research was carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. The research was carried out from February to June 2024. The design used in the research was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is atonic ZPT consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0; 50; 100 and 150 ppm and the second factor is shallot extract consisting of 4 levels, namely 0; 1.5; 3; and 4.5 ml/liter, there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there were 48 experimental units. The parameters observed were growth percentage, scion length, seed diameter, shoot length, number of leaves and leaf chlorophyll content. The observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with a further BNJ test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: the interaction between giving atonic ZPT and shallot extract had a real influence on all parameters, treatment with atonic ZPT 150 ppm and shallot extract 4.5 ml/liter. The main effect of atonic ZPT was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was at 150 ppm. The main effect of red onion extract was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was 4.5 ml/liter.
