Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the influence of the interaction and main influence of cascing and legin fertilizers on the growth and production of peanut plants (Arachis hypogaea L.) This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jl. Air Dingin, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 4 months starting from May to August 2024. The design used in this study is a Factorial Complete Random Design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the use of casing fertilizer (factor K) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0.100 g/plant, 200 g/plant and 300 g/plant and the second factor, namely the use of legin (Factor L) consists of 4 levels , namely 0.7.5 g/kg seeds, 15 g/kg seeds and 22.5 g/kg seeds, so that there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 treatment repeats. Thus this study consists of 48 experimental units. Each treatment unit consisted of 9 plants and 4 sample plants. The total number of plants is 432 plants. The observed parameters were plant height, harvest age, percentage of fruity pods, number of plant pods, weight of 100 dry seeds, wet weight of plant pods, dry weight of plant pods, and number of root nodules. The results showed that the interaction and main influence of cascing and legin fertilizers were real on plant height, harvest age, percentage of fruity pods, number of plant pods, weight of 100 dry seeds, wet weight of plant pods, dry weight of plant pods, and number of root nodules. The best treatment is the dose of kascin fertilizer 300 g/plant and legin 22.5 g/kg of seeds.
