Abstract

The main objective of this research is to look for the efficiency of ground beef production. Meat grinder consists of several components, namely the engine frame, diesel motor, pulleys, V-belt and meat crusher shaft. With these components, it is expected to work properly. Because in general the transmission system used in existing equipment has drawbacks, namely the time it takes a little longer and the production of ground beef is small. This test aims to determine the resulting output rotation power in order to crush the meat with the desired capacity. By increasing the rotation of the engine from 1300 rpm to 2100 rpm. So that the results applied to this study are expected to get the best efficiency results from this meat grinding machine. From this study, the most effective results were found at 1300 rpm with a result of 1.781350482 kg/hour.ml while the least effective results were found at 1900 rpm with a result of 1.745257453 kg/hour.ml.
