Abstract

Research on the Effect of Taspu Fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth and Yield of Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) on Red and Yellow Podsolic Soil. The aim is to determine the effect of the interaction of oil palm bunch compost and pearl NPK on the growth and yield of shallots. The research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 3 months, starting from May to July 2024. This research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor, Taspu fertilizer, consisted of 4 treatment levels. The second factor, NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer, consisted of 4 treatment levels. Thus, 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, thus obtaining 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 16 plants, 4 of which were used as observation samples, so that the total was 768 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the interaction of Taspu fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 is significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment is in the combination of Taspu fertilizer 2.5 kg/plot and NPK 16:16:16 80 g/plot. The main factor of Taspu fertilizer is significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment is in the provision of Taspu fertilizer 2.5g/plot. The main factor of NPK 16:16:16 is significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment is in the provision of NPK 16:16:16 80 g/plot.
