Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the development of Posyandu Cadres as an effort to improve public health in Harjosari Village, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City as well as the inhibiting factors in developing Posyandu cadres. The theory used according to Miftah Thoha explains that coaching is an action, process, result or statement to become better. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that the development of posyandu cadres as an effort to improve public health in Harjosari Village, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City is quite well developed. This can be seen from the three indicators, namely action, that currently the training carried out by Melur Community Health Center Midwives as Posyandu Trustees has been implemented by planning for training for cadres. Furthermore, from the Process indicators, the implementation of coaching posyandu cadres to carry out further socialization to the community still needs improvement. Judging from the results indicators, the results from the development of cadres in the Harjosari Village, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City are not in accordance with what the community expects because there are still many obstacles. As for the constraint factor in coaching, the number of posyandu cadres is often inadequate, the posyandu cadres always experience changes. Then there is a lack of understanding about services (socialization, counseling and assistance); Furthermore, the data collection system is lacking, as well as a lack of coordination of Posyandu cadres and a lack of Posyandu budget and attention from the government.
