Abstract

Pekanbaru City is the capital city of Riau Province, which has its own charm for bringing in immigrants and business actors from supporting areas, and along with the increasing use of private vehicles, increasing population growth, and high levels of the economy, this has resulted in an increasing need for wrong facilities. one of which is the need for large parking facilities at the Madani Regional Hospital in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of parking and parking space capacity at Madani Regional Hospital, Pekanbaru City. The research method used in this study is to conduct a direct survey in the field for 3 (three) days, 2 (two) working days, and 1 (one) day off at 08.00–17.00 WIB to obtain the necessary data such as parking plans, room area parking, the type of parked vehicle, the duration of the parked vehicle, and the parking pattern of the Pekanbaru City Madani Regional Hospital. Then the data obtained were processed using the Microsoft Excel computer program using the formula equation by F. D. Hobbs (1995). The results of the measurements and mapping that have been carried out show that there are 224 SRPs, including 82 SRPs for cars and 142 SRPs for motorcycles. And the results of the characteristic analysis for 3 days of observation show that the accumulation of average parking is 14 vehicles, motorcycles are 64 vehicles, the average volume of cars is 76 vehicles, motorcycles are 160 vehicles, the average parking duration for cars is 36 minutes, 43 seconds, and motorcycles are 47 minutes. 24 seconds, average car parking index 0.16, motorcycle 0.49, average turn-over car 0.9, motorcycle 1.1. The parking index value obtained is <1, so the need for parking space is below capacity. So it can be concluded that the capacity of the parking space at the Madani Regional Hospital in Pekanbaru City is able to accommodate vehicles that will be parked.
