Abstract

Insya’ learning at MTs of Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding school of Pekanbaru actually does not run well and the students have difficulty in composing sentences and expressing their ideas into writing or essays. This is caused by the lack of teacher’s knowledge about appropriate learning methods, and the lack of students’ vocabulary and their understanding of the Nahwu and Shorof rules. The aims of this study are: 1) to investigate how Insya’ learning at MTs of Al-Kautsar modern Islamic boarding school of Pekanbaru. 2) to investigate the problems of Insya’ learning and their solutions at MTS of Al-kautsar modern Islamic boarding school. This is a qualitative study and the data collection techniques of the study are interviews, observation, and documentation. According to the results of the study, the problems of Insya’ learning are caused by the lack of students’ vocabulary and understanding of the nahwu and shorof rules, as well as the lack of teacher’s knowledge of the Insya’ learning method, the lack of training to apply the Insya’, Insya’ learning does not run well, the students have difficulty in constructing sentences, and the students find it difficult to express their ideas in writing. The solutions to solve these problems are: the teacher has to repeat the materials frequently and the teacher needs to use more innovative Insya’ learning methods.
