Abstract
This study aims to investigate whether there is a relationship between qawa'id mastery and writing skills of female students at Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population of the study is the female students in grade X at Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School totaling 74 students. The data collection techniques of the study are tests and documentation, and the data analysis technique of the study uses the Pearson Correlation Analysis test performed by SPSS version 20. The results of the study show that the writing skills of female students in grade X at Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School is included in the good category and it is found that there is a relationship between qawa'id mastery and writing skills of female students in grade X at Ummu Sulaim Islamic Boarding School of Pekanbaru as indicated by a significance value of less than 0.05 , namely 0.00 <0.05 then Ha is accepted and a correlation coefficient value of 0.838. So, it can be concluded that the relationship is included in the very strong category.
