Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Interaction of Pizza Hut Restaurant Waste and Water Hyacinth Compost on the Growth and Production of Green Okra Plants (Abelmoschus esculentus L.). The study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jl. Kaharuddin Nasution, KM 11 No.113 Marpoyan, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. This study was conducted for 5 months, starting from October 2023 to February 2024. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is Pizza Hut Restaurant Waste with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 250, 500 and 1000 ml. The second factor is Water Hyacinth Compost from 4 treatment levels of 0, 450, 900 and 1350 g/plot. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, number of remaining fruits. Observation data were analyzed statistically and carried out with the Advanced Test of Honestly Significant Differences (HSD) at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the interaction of Pizza Hut Restaurant Waste and Water Hyacinth Compost had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was the combination of 1000 ml of Pizza Hut Restaurant Waste and 1350 g/plot of Water Hyacinth Compost. The main treatment of Pizza Hut Restaurant Waste had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was 1000 ml. The main treatment of Water Hyacinth Compost had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was 1350 g/plot.
