Abstract

The worker wage protection system is very important for workers. The worker protection system provides health and employment guarantees. The application of wages is a sensitive issue in the implementation of employment relations. The wage system is through Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 which aims to ensure that wage policies are aimed at achieving a decent life for workers. The wage system is part of the protection of workers' rights that have been established. Getting appropriate wages will provide a decent life for workers. The main problem in this research is what form of legal protection regarding wages exists for PT workers. M-Bio Energy and obstacles in protecting wages for workers at PT. M-Bio Energy Pekanbaru Branch This research uses sociological survey methods and observations. The object of this research is the implementation of wage protection for PT workers. M-Bio Energy Nusantara Pekanbaru Branch is based on Government Regulation No.36 of 2021 concerning Wages. The research results show that the wage system implemented by PT. M-Bio Energy Nusantara Pekanbaru Branch to workers is based on the Pekanbaru city minimum wage (UMK). No major obstacles were found because the company was able to overcome these problems. Implementation of workers' wage protection is carried out by determining the minimum wage and providing other guarantees in the form of health insurance facilities to each worker. So far, if the company does not comply with the aim of paying its workers' wages, the company uses alternative funds, namely other sources of income or reserve funds to meet the needs for paying workers' wages.
