Abstract

This research aims to determine the values of women's struggle in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. As stated previously in the research methods section, researchers will use John Fiske's semiotic analysis. In the process, researchers will start by connecting scenes to several scenes in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. This research has revealed that the film Gangubai Kathiawadi provides a strong representation of a woman's struggle in facing various challenges in her life. Through the character Gangubai, this film depicts how a woman can be strong and resilient even though she faces difficult and harsh situations in life. Values such as grit, courage, and determination are emphasized in the main character's journey. This research has revealed that the film Gangubai Kathiawadi provides a strong representation of a woman's struggle in facing various challenges in her life.
