Abstract
This study aims to investigate whether the implementation of Jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies in grade VII 5 of SMPN 6 Siak Hulu because the average score of students’ learning outcomes in this school is still relatively low. This study is a Classroom Action Research. The subject of the study is the students in grade VII 5 of SMPN 6 Siak Hulu in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection techniques of the study are observation and tests. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the acquisition of students’ learning outcomes before implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model was still relatively low with an increase of 61.11% for the aspect of the written test with the incomplete category. Because the test results in cycle I had not reached the passing grade, so the researcher continued the study in cycle II. In cycle II, the average score increased to 94.44% with the category of completion and the study was not continued to the next cycle. In conclusion, the implementation of Jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies in grade VII 5 of SMPN 6 Siak Hulu.
