Abstract
The Question-Student-Have strategy can be an effective method of understanding students’ needs and expectations, so that they can optimize their talents and abilities. The skill of asking questions has a significant instructive value, because the teachers generally apply interactive methods with questions in the teaching process. The type of the study is classroom action research (CAR) which describes deeply the implementation of learning techniques and the achievement of the expected results. The results of the study show that the level of achievement in the first cycle has not met the standard target that has been set, namely 80%. The level of student participation in the first cycle only reached 63%. This phenomenon occurs because the Question-Student-Have strategy that had been implemented had not reached the expected level of effectiveness. However, in the second cycle, there was a significant increase in the percentage of student participation after some revisions from previous cycle. The signs of progress can be found in the observation sheet which shows a satisfactory level of student participation by 84%. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in the level of student participation in the teaching and learning activities. In the pre-cycle, the level of student participation was only 39%, then it increased to 63% in the first cycle, and it increased significantly by 84% in the second cycle which exceeds the standard target. Before doing a study to increase student participation in learning Aqidah Akhlak, the average percentage only reached 39%. Then some improvement efforts were made, then there was a significant increase in student learning participation in the first cycle by 63% which is included in the range of 56% - 75% with a ''quite high'' level. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, it increased to 84% or the level of student participation was categorized as ''Very High'' because it is included in the range of 76% - 100%. It shows that the student achievement has reached the expected result which is more than 80%.
