Abstract

Opinion is the opinion of individuals in society which is an open answer to a problem or issue that occurs directly or on social media. Opinion formation does not just happen unless it is "mediated", there is no opinion that is formed through face-to-face communication, there must be media that acts as an intermediary to form public opinion. The issue of domestic violence experienced by Lesty Kejora on social media formed a series of opinions from Twitter users. The aim of this research is to find out the opinions of Twitter users regarding the actions taken by Lesty Kejora regarding cases of domestic violence that have occurred in her experience. One of them is a follower of the @komnasperempuan account, who has an opinion on the issue, where this issue brings out different opinions from Twitter users themselves, who have pros and cons regarding the forgiveness efforts made by Lesty Kejora. This research uses qualitative methods with this type of research using descriptive. This data was collected through interviews and documentation. To analyze the results of this research using purposive sampling technique. The results of this research show that Twitter users' opinions regarding the forgiveness efforts carried out by Lesty Kejora as a public figure, Lesty Kejora, have had both positive and negative impacts on society. Twitter users expressed different opinions regarding the actions taken by Lesty Kojora. generating positive opinions which cause someone to react favorably towards other people and negative opinions, causing someone to give an unpleasant opinion or give a bad response to a problem.
