Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction effect and main influence of concentration and frequency of river fish waste on the growth and production of shallot plants on PMK soil. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the concentration of river fish waste with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 2.25%, 4.5% and 6.75% and the second factor is the frequency of application of river fish waste consisting of 4 treatment levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 time. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, age at harvest, number of tubers per cluster, wet weight of tubers per cluster, dry weight per cluster, and weight loss of tubers. The observation data was analyzed statistically and carried out using the Advanced Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of the research show that the interaction between concentration and frequency of application of river fish waste has a significant effect on the parameters of number of tubers per cluster, wet weight of tubers per cluster and dry weight of tubers per cluster with the best combination of concentration 6.75% or 67.5 ml/L and frequency 4 application times. The main effect of river fish waste concentration was significant on the parameters of leaf number and tuber weight loss. The best treatment was a concentration of 4.5% or 45 ml/L which was not significantly different from a concentration of 6.75% or 67.5 ml/L on the number of leaves and a concentration of 6.75% or 67.5 ml/L on tuber weight loss. . The main effect and interaction of concentration and frequency of application of river fish waste did not have a significant effect on the parameters of plant height and harvest age. Key words: Shallots, fish waste, PMK
