Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know there was implementation of PJBL method could improve students’ cognitive learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 18 Sekip Hulu Rengat. It was caused by students’ cognitive result in this school classified into low. This research used quantitative research with experimental approach. Based on data computation and analysis, it could be found that there was any influence of project-based learning method (X) on students’ cognitive learning achievement (Y) in Islamic education subject at elementary school 018 Sekip Hulu, Rengat. It could be proved from independent sample t test result with significant score Sig (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05, it meant that there was any difference average of students’ learning achievement that was done by using PJBL method with students that used lecture method. Besides, PJBL method also more affective to improve students’ learning achievement that could be seen from paired sample t-test with score sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.005, it meant that there was any difference average of students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject that used PJBL method. This research finding could be concluded that there was any influence of using projectbased learning method on students’ cognitive learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 018 Sekip Hulu, Rengat.
