Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the influence of low morals on students at MTs Mu'allimin Selatpanjang. The purpose of this study was to: 1) determine the level of leadership competence of Islamic religious education teachers (aqidah akhlak) at MTs Mu'allimin Selat Panjang Selatan District, Tebing Tinggi District, Kab. Meranti Islands. 2) to determine the moral level (towards humans) of students at MTs Mu'allimin Selat Panjang Selatan District, Tebing Tinggi District. Meranti Islands. 3) the effect of the leadership competence of Islamic religious education teachers (aqidah morals) on the morals (towards humans) of students at MTs Mu'allimin Selat Panjang Selatan Sub-District Tebing Tinggi Kab. Meranti Islands. This type of research is quantitative with a correlation approach and simple linear regression analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting questionnaires and documentation. The sample in this study used a saturated sample because it involved the entire population and a sample of 58 students. From the results of the analysis using SPSS 25, the probability of sig. 0.000 with a significance level of <0.05 which states that there is an influence of teacher leadership competence on the morals of students in the subject of moral ethics. This is indicated by the coefficient of determination (R Square) which is 0.480 which shows that the morals of students are influenced by the leadership competence of Islamic religious education teachers by 48%. So that it can be concluded that there is a fairly strong influence between the leadership competence of Islamic religious education teachers on the morals of students at MTs Mu'allimin Selat Panjang, Meranti Islands Regency.
