Abstract

16 on Bitter Melon Plant Production (Momordica charantia L.)". This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Air Dingin. Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for 3 months from October to December 2023. This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main effect of Solid Waste and NPK 16:16:16 on bitter melon plant production. This study used a Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Solid Waste with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 kg per plot. The second factor is the dose of NPK 16:16:16 consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 10, 20 and 30 grams per plant. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, and fruit length. Observation data were analyzed statistically and carried out with the Advanced Test of Honestly Significant Differences (HSD) at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the interaction of Solid Waste and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, and fruit length. The best treatment was given a combination of Solid Waste (2.25 kg/plot) and NPK 16:16:16 (30 g/plant). The main effect of Solid Waste had a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment was at a concentration of (2.25 kg/plot). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on all parameters. The best treatment was at a dose of (30 g/plant).
