Abstract
One of the problems that is so fundamental that occurs in Muslims is the increase in the number of young Muslim generation who are unable to recite the Qur'an and the silence of the houses from the reciting sounds of the holy verses of the Qur'an as a holy book in Islam, as well as a source of various Islamic law which contains the value of education. In fact, the ability to recite the Qur'an shows the low achievement and it really needs to be addressed immediately so that the Muslims will not experience a decline in various fields, because the Qur'an is the source of all aspects of life. Studying the Qur'an includes reciting and applying the Qur'an. The ability to recite the Qur'an is similar to the ability to read texts. This is a qualitative study which aims to understand the social reality. The Islamic studies teachers have made some efforts to improve students’ ability to recite the Qur'an. It is expected that the Islamic Studies teachers can do their best efforts in improving students’ ability to recite the Qur'an as much as possible so that the students will be more enthusiastic in learning the Qur'an especially in learning Islamic Studies, because the Islamic Studies teachers are the educators who determine the success of students in learning.
