Abstract

This research was motivated by lack of students’ cognitive learning achievement in Fiqh subject at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamiyah Ukui. The phenomenon that was found such as lack of students’ concentration in giving attention to teacher that explained the material, students’ bother his friends when doing task, some of them were lack of giving questions to his friends about lesson. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of fellow mate on students’ cognitive learning achievement in Fiqh subject at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamiyah Ukui. This research used quantitative method and the population involved all students at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamiyah Ukui in 98 students. This research consisted of two variables that was variable X (fellow mate) and variable Y (students’ cognitive learning achievement in Fiqh subject). Based on descriptive testing, it could be seen that the level of fellow mate at Islamic junior high school AlIslamiyah Ukui in 68.7% in range 40% - 69.9%. It could be concluded that fellow mate in 68.7% classified into “moderate”. Meanwhile, in level of students’ cognitive learning achievement got score 58.3% and it was in range 40% - 69.9% and it could be concluded that students’ cognitive learning achievement in 58.3% and classified into “moderate”. From hypothesis testing analysis, it was know that there was any influence of fellow mate on students’ cognitive learning achievement in Fiqh subject at Islamic junior high school Al-Islamiyah Ukui. It could be proved with significant score was smaller than 0.05 where 0.00 < 0.05. The influence level of fellow mate in 54.9%, it meant that the influence was strong enough because it was in range 0.40 – 0.599. Determination coefficient score showed that students’ cognitive learning achievement in Fiqh subject was influenced in 54.9% by fellow mate. Meanwhile, others 100% - 54.9% = 45.1% was influenced by others factors that did not include in this research.
