Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction and the main photosynthetic bacteria and organic NPK on the growth and yield of pak choi (Brassica rapa L.) plants. The study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City, from October to November 2023. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the concentration of photosynthetic bacteria, consisting of 4 levels, namely 0; 5; 10; 15 ml per liter of water and the second factor is the dose of organic NPK, consisting of 4 levels, namely 0; 7.5; 15; 22.5 g per plant. The parameters observed were chlorophyll content, plant height, number of leaves, longest leaf length, widest leaf area, harvest age, economic wet weight, dry weight per plant and root volume. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the effect of the interaction of photosynthetic bacteria and organic NPK was significant on the parameters of chlorophyll content, number of leaves, widest leaf area, economic wet weight per plant, dry weight per plant and root volume. The best treatment at a concentration of photosynthetic bacteria of 15 ml per liter of water and a dose of organic NPK of 22.5 g per plant. The main effect of photosynthetic bacteria was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment at a concentration of 15 ml per liter of water. The main effect of organic NPK was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment at a dose of 22.5 g per plant. Keywords: Photosynthetic Bacteria, Organic NPK, Pakcoy
