Abstract
The research was conducted to determine the impact of students' lack of concentration in mathematics in class IV SDN 138 Pekanbaru. The research design was qualitative, with a narrative approach and data collection techniques, such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The data sources in this study consisted of one fourth-grade teacher and three fourth-grade students. The data collection instruments in this study were interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and documentation review. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman Model, which consists of data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results of interviews and observations on students' interest in math lessons show that students are less interested in learning math because they do not master and understand multiplication. Factors that can affect students' concentration in understanding math learning are low learning motivation, the level of difficulty of the material, and the learning environment.
