Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of the game Scrabble on student learning outcomes in the Indonesian Vocabulary subject in class IV at State Elementary School 15 Geringging Jaya. This research uses the Pre-Experimental Design research type, the Pre-experimental design research method was carried out on one group, namely the experimental group which received treatment using the Scrabble educational game model. The form of pre-experimental design for this research is One-Group Pretest Design, with a pre-test carried out before treatment is given so that the effect of treatment results can be known more accurately by comparing conditions before treatment is given. The population of this study was all fourth grade students at SD Negeri 15 Geringging Jaya. The research sample was 30 class IV students. The results of the research are known to show that through simple hypothesis testing it can be seen that the tcount value is 13.252 with a significance of 0.000<0.05 so it can be seen that there is a significant influence between the Scrabble game variable (X) on understanding (Y). Then it can be seen from the average posttest score obtained by students using the Scrabble game, which is 80.5, where this number is greater than the average pretest score for understanding using the Scrabble game, namely 65.5, so it can be concluded that using the Scrabble game in the subject Indonesian has a significant influence on the understanding of standard and non-standard language for class IV students at SDN 015 Geringging Jaya.
