Abstract

The work ethic of state civil servants aims to provide good service to the community so that the community feels satisfied with the services provided. The delivery of public services is required to be of good quality. The application of public administration ethics by state administrators is important because it can prevent unethical actions and can minimize problems in public services so that services can be optimized to the community. This research aims to find out and analyze how the implementation of public service ethics and inhibiting factors is carried out at the Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office. The research method uses a survey method which is mixed descriptive in nature by combining quantitative data with qualitative data. The sample for this research consisted of 14 employees of the Department of Tourism and Culture and managers of business entities or people using the services of the Department of Culture and Tourism, namely 24 people. Indicators of work ethics include; 1. Polite behavior in serving, Communicating in service, 3. Serious and Sincere, 4. Counter service activities, 5. Honesty, 6. Diligence, 7. Empathy and 8. Consistent. The research results show that ASN work ethics in public services have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Service employees in the good category. The work ethic of ASN needs to be further improved professionally in serving the community, especially in the field of culture and tourism in Pekanbaru. Keywords: Performance ethics, Service.
