Abstract

The problem in this research questioned how was the influence of learning style (visual) on students’ class VII learning achievement in Islamic education subject at junior high school 1 North Kampar. Based on the problem, the purpose in this research examined to know the influence of learning style (visual) on students’ class VII learning achievement in Islamic education subject at junior high school 1 North Kampar. This research used quantitative type where it was a research based on positivism philosophy. It was used to research in specific sample and population. Generally, sampling technique took randomly, data collection technique used research instrument, data analysis usually in quantitative style or statistically style. The purpose was measuring the hypothesis testing. This research finding explained that; first, the level of visual learning style at junior high school 1 North Kampar was in strong category. Second, the level of students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at Islamic junior high school 1 North Kampar was in very strong category. Third, the hypothesis that stated there was any influence of visual learning style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at junior high school1 North Kampar “accepted”. It was known that simple linear regression analysis result with significant score 0.023 and 0.023 was smaller than 0.05, and the hypothesis was accepted. The influence score of visual learning style on students learning achievement at junior high school 1 North Kampar in 0.27% or 27% that classified into low category, because it was in range (0.20 – 0.399) that stated in correlation coefficient interpretation table, meanwhile others 73% was influenced by others factors. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted. The relationship level between the influence of visual learning style on students’ learning achievement at junior high school 1 North Kampar was in low category.
