Abstract

In learning process, students could not separate from learning problem. One of them was learning difficulty. Generally, students’ learning difficulties was a symptoms from various aspects of students’ behavior, directly and indirectly suitable with students’ difficulty level based on preliminary study that was done at Islamic Senior High School Masmur Pekanbaru. There were some students’ difficulties in learning such as: slow in doing task, students were active in learning but they got low score, and some students were active in classroom but difficult in understanding lesson. Based on that problem, writer was interested in conducting research entitle: Teacher’s Effort in overcoming students’ learning difficulties in “Islamic education subject” with the formulation of problem questioned” what was teacher’s problem in overcoming students’ learning difficulties in Islamic education subject at Islamic Senior High School Masmur?”. The purpose in this research examined to know the teacher’s effort in overcoming students’ learning difficulties in Islamic education subject at Islamic Senior High School Masmur Pekanbaru. This resarh used qualitative research. Research palce took Islmaic Senior High School Masmur Pekanbaru. The subject in this research was Islamic education teacher at Islamic Senior High School Masmur Pekanbaru. The object in this research was teacher’s effort in overcoming students’ learning difficulties in Islamic education subject at Islamic Senior High School Masmur Pekanbaru. Data collection technique used interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique used inductively with interactive model as follows: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, (3) drawing conclusion or verification.
