Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to improve students’ learning achievement through Islamic education teacher’s effort at elementary school 008 and 009 at Sumber Jaya Village. It was known that elementary school 008 and 009 at Sumber Jaya Village found that some students were lack in learning, speak impolite, fighting, and they did not listen to teacher’s rules. They were lack of awareness about the importance for study, some of them were against to teacher, some of students skipped class, and speak impolite to teachers and friends. The formulation of the problem in this research questioned how was the effort of Islamic education teacher in improving students’ learning achievement and what were the obstacles faced by teacher in improving students’ learning achievement. The purpose in this research examined to know Islamic education teacher’s effort in improving students’ learning achievement at elementary school 008 and 009 Sumber Jaya village. This research used qualitative research. In getting the data, data collection technique used observation, interview and documentation. After the data was collected, it was analyzed by using data reduction, data display, data verification, and drawing conclusion as follows: first, Islamic education teacher gave advice to students about how they should behave to teacher, parents and society. Second, Islamic education teacher did do’a as habitual before learning. Third, teacher gave example to students about how they was to speak with friends or older people. Then, it was found some efforts that was done out of theory such as; first, Islamic education teacher accustomed students to diligent in learning before get in the class. Second, Islamic education teacher directed students to associate with the right persons and they were not negligent in learning.
