Abstract

This research was motivated by the low academic achievement skills of students at Senior High School 2 Teluk Meranti. Academic achievement is one of the most important aspects of student success during the learning process, as it is closely tied to their overall performance. The research problem addressed was how students' self-regulated learning affected the improvement of their academic achievement in Islamic Education (PAI) at Senior High School 2 Teluk Meranti. The purpose of this research was to examine the impact of students' self-regulated learning on improving their academic achievement in Islamic Education at Senior High School 2 Teluk Meranti. This research was quantitative and correlational in nature. The study population consisted of students from grades X and XI at Senior High School 2 Teluk Meranti. The sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique, involving the entire population of 55 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study showed that the hypothesis regarding the influence of students' self-regulated learning on improving their academic achievement in Islamic Education was accepted, with a significance value of 0.004. The impact of self-regulated learning on improving students' academic achievement in Islamic Education was found to be very low (0.146 or 14.6%).
