Abstract

Lottery gambling is a game that is played by guessing the numbers that come out by betting money or property, lottery gambling is also used as a livelihood in the community. Due to the increasing prevalence of lottery gambling, the police are fully responsible for tackling lottery gambling that occurs in the Langgam sub-district, which is the Police Command Structure which is under the Pelalawan District Police. The purpose of this study is to find out more deeply about how the police, the police, play a role in dealing with lottery gambling. Based on this, this study discusses the problem of: "Togel Gambling Crime Control in the Legal Area of the Langgam District Police, Pelalawan Regency" includes the following issues: How is the General Description of Togel Gambling in Langgam District, what are the factors causing the perpetrators to do lottery gambling, what are the efforts of the police in tackling lottery gambling, what are the obstacles faced by the police in tackling lottery gambling crimes in the Langgam sub-district area. This study used a qualitative method, the research location was at the Pelalawan police station. This research focuses on overcoming lottery gambling, obstacles to the style police, as well as support from the community to deal with lottery gambling. Data collection tools used in this study are secondary and premier data. Data collection techniques using interview techniques and documentation studies. Data analysis uses data presentation, data collection and conclusion. And the results of this study are that the prevention of lottery gambling by the Pelalawan style police carried out three events, namely pre-emptively, preventively and repressively. The obstacles that the Pelalawan style police feel in tackling lottery gambling are evidence that is difficult to obtain, the protection of gambling actors by unscrupulous police officers, and the low awareness of the surrounding community about the environment and the reluctance to provide any information to the Pelalawan style police.
