Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited public knowledge about zakat and the level or nishab of agricultural zakat, as well as the lack of public awareness in paying agricultural zakat. The problem formulation of the study is the level of public knowledge on the zakat of oil palm plantation. The aim of the study is to investigate the extent of public knowledge on the zakat of oil palm plantation. The subject of the study is the people in Domo Village. Meanwhile, the object of the study is the level of public knowledge in Domo Village on the zakat of oil palm plantation. The data sources of the study are from primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used is the Slovin formula, while the data collection technique of the study is the questionnaire. The data analysis techniques of the study are quantitative and descriptive analysis methods with a population of 433 people and a sample size of 82 people. Based on the results of the study regarding the analysis of the level of public knowledge in Domo Village on the zakat of palm plantations obtained from respondents’ answers, it can be concluded that P = 47.48%, it means that the level of public knowledge in Domo Village on the zakat of oil palm plantation is classified as sufficient or fairly knowledgeable with a percentage of 41% - 60%.
