Abstract

The murder case that occurred in Tandun sub-district between a wife and her husband resulted from jealousy with the issue of infidelity, this crime occurred in plain view and quickly because it was committed at home alone and especially in the bedrooms of the two of them. There is something surprising because the husband was killed suddenly using a machete by his own wife, it can also be known that the perpetrator was a civil servant teacher who had 3 (three) children. The formulation of the problem in this study is: a) What are the factors causing the crime of ordinary murder by a wife against her husband in the jurisdiction of the Tandun Polsek, Rokan Hulu Regency? b) What are the efforts of the police in dealing with the crime of ordinary murder by a wife against her husband in the jurisdiction of the Tandun Polsek, Rokan Hulu Regency? The type and nature of this research is classified as observational research. This research went directly to the field through observations and interviews. The nature of this research is descriptive which explains in full the criminological review of the usual murder by a wife against her husband in the jurisdiction of the Tandun Polsek, Rokan Hulu Regency. The results of this study are the factors causing the crime of ordinary murder by a wife against her husband in the jurisdiction of the Tandun Police, Rokan Hulu Regency, namely 1) Affair factor: being the main factor in the rift of family relations because it causes a gap between husband and wife and is conflictual and accumulative, meaning there is large or small conflicts that continue to occur for a long time in the family, causing feelings of anger, resentment or hurt feelings, 2) Economic pressure: economic conditions and changes have a major influence on the occurrence of crimes, among others influenced by ecological and class factors social, 3) Emotional power factor: Emotional power is an external factor that is most often the cause of the crime of murder. Efforts made by the police in tackling the crime of ordinary murder by a wife against a husband in the jurisdiction of the Tandun Polsek, Rokan Hulu Regency, include: 1)preventive efforts in the form of: maintaining public order and security, maintaining the safety of people, objects and goods including providing protection and assistance, in particular preventing violations of the law Counseling and making appeals for a particular case. 2) repressive efforts, in the form of: pursuing and arresting suspected perpetrators, conducting examinations of suspected perpetrators, and cases being transferred to the prosecutor's office for further processing, 3) coaching efforts: mental development and social development.
