Abstract
This study aims to validate and see user responses to the developed green chemistry-based comic learning media. This research is a descriptive R&D research using the Plomp model. There are stages in its development namely, the initial research stage, the prototype stage, and the assessment stage. The research subjects consisted of 3 teachers and 30 students from SMAN 7 Pekanbaru for needs analysis, 3 expert validators, and 3 chemistry teachers and 33 students for user responses from SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. The instruments used were teacher interview guidelines and student questionnaires for needs analysis, validation sheets for validating comics, and questionnaires for viewing user responses. The results showed that comic media was developed to be suitable for use with the validation results of material aspects 84.52%, media aspects 85.41%, and language 81.25%. Overall comic validation is 83.72% with very decent criteria. In the user response test it was found that comic learning media received a positive response from users with a percentage of 93.05% teachers and 84.84% students. The good response rate from both groups of users indicates that the comic media is of sufficient quality and meets the needs of the users. So that the comic is suitable for use at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. To proceed to the next research stage, further analysis and evaluation of the comic learning media that has been developed must be carried out.
