Abstract

This study aims to develop animated videos with a contextual approach to valid buffer solution material based on material experts, media experts, test the response of potential users by teachers and students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. In this study the researchers only limited it to the development stage (Develop). This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Siak Hulu on class XII MIPA 2 students. The results showed that the animated video with a contextual approach to the buffer solution material obtained a percentage of the validity of material experts of 96.2% and 94.6% of media experts with very valid criteria. For the percentage of response tests from teachers and students obtained 95.8% and 88.5% in the very good category. So it can be concluded that animated videos with a contextual approach to buffer solution material are suitable for use as learning media.
