Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still people in Pekanbaru City, especially Simpang Tiga, who are still less aware of the benefits of Pijar insurance and customers who feel unclear about the explanation given by customer service regarding the explanation so that the role of customer service in delivering persuasive communication well for BRI bank customers. In communication, of course, there is a message that wants to be conveyed that can be understood by the other party, including persuasive communication which aims to influence a person's attitude, opinion and behavior to be able to understand what is conveyed during communication between customer service and customers in an explanation of Pijar insurance. For customer service, the use of persuasive communication can be used as a form of communication that can have an effect on the customer itself. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method where in this study there was one informant, namely customer service and three informants were customers who had been offered Pijar insurance by customer service. In obtaining research data, the researcher used data collection through source triangulation techniques collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are that in promoting a company's product, the role of customer service is very large in the success of the product and of course for the public, of course, it must be with good communication so that customers understand the product. For new customers, an explanation of incandescent insurance is needed so that there is no doubt in understanding the insurance, as well as persuasive communication carried out by customer service in conveying an understanding of incandescent insurance so that customers can understand the benefits of insurance further.
