Abstract

Research on the application of accounting in a sago noodle business was carried out in Selat Panjang, Meranti Islands Regency. The discussion in this study is whether the application of accounting used by sago noodle businesses is in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting in carrying out their business. This study was processed with primary data obtained directly from respondents through interviews and questionnaires to sago noodle business owners in Selat Panjang Regency and secondary data obtained from respondents, namely financial report data, namely daily recording books (cash books) from sago noodle business owners in Selat Panjang Regency. And the method used in this research is structured interviews to complete secondary data and documentation through taking documents in the form of diaries. While the data analysis used is descriptive method. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the sago noodle business in Selat Panjang Regency is in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
