Abstract
Waqf is mandatory for a Muslim to donate part of his wealth to be given away and managed as a form of worship. The potential of waqf is to improve the economy and increase welfare as long as it is done correctly. The aim of the study is to investigate the management of productive waqf in the Dompet Dhuafa Zakat Institution of Pekanbaru. The method of the study is qualitative and the data sources of the study are from primary and secondary data. The subjects of the study are the leader, managers and zakat management staff and the object of the study is the Dompet Dhuafa Zakat Institution of Pekanbaru. The data collection techniques of the study are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that from all dimensions (planning, organizing, staffing, motivating and supervising), it is found that the management of productive waqf in the Dompet Dhuafa Zakat Institution of Pekanbaru has implemented good management. However, the motivating dimension with the indicatos of motivating employees to implement the waqf program is still not effective and it needs to be revitalized. This should be a concern for the institution so that its management can run well.
