Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine how legal protection is given to justice collaborators in corruption crimes and what are the obstacles in legal protection for justice collaborators. By using observational research methods (NonDoctrinal) or surveys. Justice Collaborators are perpetrators who are willing to be witnesses to reveal clarity about an organized crime. The protection of a Justice Collaborator is only regulated in a few articles in Law No. 31 of 2014 concerning the protection of witnesses and victims, namely: Article 5 concerning the rights of witnesses and victims, Article 10 concerning special handling, and Article 10A concerning appreciation for justice collaborators. However, the three articles still have various shortcomings where the provisions do not have binding power that requires judges to provide leniency,so that Justice Collaborators are not guaranteed to receive leniency The protection of Justice Collaborators is still constrained by laws and regulations where there are no regulations that specifically regulate as guidelines for Justice Collaborators, institutional constraints where many institutions can receive reports from Justice Collaborators, and obstacles to cooperation between institutions, namely overlapping in handling reports and differences in understanding between institutions.
