Abstract

In the context of mosques as centers of religious activities, it is important for administrators to formulate strategies that can attract the interest of the younger generation. This research is motivated by how the management of the Raudhatul Jannah Mosque maintains the presence of adolescents in youth study activities, which often decreases along with the development of the times and the emergence of various alternative activities outside the mosque. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consisted of mosque administrators and teenagers who were actively present in the youth study activities. The collected data is analyzed descriptively to identify the communication strategies implemented. The results of this study show that the management of the Raudhatul Jannah Mosque implements several communication strategies, including: delivering interesting and routine messages, using language and media that are relevant to the interests of teenagers, in addition to using social media that can reach more teenagers, the management of the Raudatul Jannah mosque also uses print media such as invitation letters which involve teachers as facilitators to students to be able to attend youth studies. Inviting competent scholars who deliver studies based on the postulates of the Qur'an and sahih hadiths. Effective communication strategies are very important in maintaining the presence of adolescents in mosques. The majid management needs to continue to adapt to the needs and preferences of the younger generation in order to maximize their participation in study activities.
