78@student.uir.ac.id Pembimbing: Febrina Dafit ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement and the factors that influence the growth of students' interest in reading at SDN 035 Tarai Bangun. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved the principal, teachers and students as key informants. The results showed that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement has been running quite well, marked by various activities that actively involve students. However, students' interest in reading still varies, influenced by reading habits at home and the availability of reading materials. The main supporting factors are the presence of a comfortable library and diverse literacy programs, while the lack of parental support is one of the barriers. This study concludes that further efforts are needed to improve students' interest in reading, especially through cooperation between schools, students and parents.
