Abstract
This research is included in ex-post facto research, which is research that reveals existing data without treating or manipulating data on a variable to be studied. The research aims to find an influence between the independent variables, namely parental attention (X) and student discipline (Y) at SD Negeri 001 Buluh Cina. Sampling in this research was carried out using total sampling techniques. In this study, researchers took a sample of 78 students consisting of 25 students in class IV A, 28 students in class IV B and 25 students in class V. Based on the research results, it shows that there is an influence between variable X and variable Y, namely parental attention and the discipline of students in class IV A, IVB. and VA SD Negeri 001 Buluh Cina, with a t-calculated value of 5,646 with a significance value of < 0,001, which is less than 0,005, which means that variable X (Prental Attention) influences variable Y (Student Displine). Research shows that there is a significant positive relationship between parental attention and student discipline. Data analysis revealed that students who received more attention from their parents tended to show better levels of discipline compared to students who received less attention. This finding is measured through discipline indicators such as regularity in following the schedule, compliance with school rules, and active participation in school activities. Parental attention plays an important role in improving student discipline. With adequate attention, students can be more motivated to obey the rules and behave disciplined in the school environment. Therefore, it is recommended that parents be more actively involved in their children's educational development and behavior, and that schools need to provide programs that support increased parental involvement in the educational process.
